QUEST YURUMEIN DOCUMENTARY FILM

Quest IV Yurumein is a documentary film tracing the global threads of the Garifuna people from the United States to Central America and back to the ancestral homeland of Yurumein in St. Vincent and the Grenadines–celebrating identity, resilience and cultural unity across borders. Amazing dialogue, archival footage, and insightful testimonies, from all around the world. Hear the history and stories from those of the Garífuna Community who have given and continue to contribute to the preservation and progression of the Garífuna people and culture as a whole.

TRIBUTE TO LOLA FLORES

For the 25th Anniversary of Flamenco Festival New York, Latin jazz meets flamenco in an unforgettable tribute to the legendary Lola Flores. Grammy-nominated drummer, composer, and bandleader Bobby Sanabria brings the explosive energy of his Ascensión Band to the stage, joined by powerhouse flamenco singer Mara Rey and rising vocal star Jennifer Jade.
 
Together they ignite a celebration that fuses rhythm, passion, and soul across cultures – honoring “La Faraona” with dazzling arrangements, fiery improvisations, and heartfelt performances.

CAJONEADA LED BY ALFONSO CID

As part of the Flamenco Festival NY 2026, an interactive cajoneada will take place at the Bronx Music Hall. Attendees will be able to participate in a flamenco percussion workshop, exploring the role of the cajón in flamenco, all within a vibrant community setting.

BRONX RISING! WOMEN IN HORROR

Join us for a special evening celebrating bold voices in horror. Author Vincent Tirado will read from their new book You Should Have Been Nicer to My Mom, followed by a panel discussion with Tina Romero, Xero Gravity, and Gigi Saul Guerrero. This portion of the evening is FREE (registration at the door).

The night continues with a special screening of Tina Romero’s comedy-horror film Queens of the Dead ($12). Tina Romero is the daughter of legendary Bronx filmmaker and “Father of Zombie Movies,” George Romero. Don’t miss this dynamic program at the Bronx Music Hall.
